My blog-o-blag theme.
FINALLY made some time to update my theme, no -major- changes but it’s a lot cleaner now (I think).

Why Geek Dudes Rule
They are generally available.
Other women will tend not to steal them.
They can fix things.
Your parents will love them.
They’re smart.
A little OTT on the stereotyping but rather funny: http://www.completeevil.com/geek.html
I found this link ages ago and totally forgot to share; it’s totally awesome: My stapler says hi.
I’m sure I could dig in the source for the direct image link; but that would be being naughty, ’cause they obviously don’t want it hot linked. I feel well behaved today.
Funny RSS feeds are CRUCIAL to a happy day.

I had a lol.
Just caught this post on mashable with some numbers that are rather interesting:
Facebook hosts over 10 billion photos. Yes; BILLION.
They also store 4 sizes of each; so really it’s 40 billion images!
More numbers:
They’re close to as cool as YouTube with this stat: “every minute, ten hours of video is uploaded to YouTube.“
I’m completely addicted to ffffound. I’m also really not-interested in all the hype around global warming etc; I tend to end my care for stuff that’s shoved in my face ALL THE TIME. Either way – this image is pretty clever.

Unrelated: I see that my lovely scream of NOOOOOO on twitter has broken itself out of the sidebar *sigh*.
I got a nice little unsolicited SMS today: “Only 4 days left 2 own an Elite Gaming Experience. Join the ACER PREDATOR Auction – SMS PREDATOR & YOUR NAME to 34451 & bid 4 machine used in Dreamhack. R2/sms. optout-stop predator to 31155”.
Being in the mobile [advertising & marketing] industry I take a lot of my knowledge for granted and hence this post. I think it’s only fair that I share a little.
So after receiving said SMS I decided it was only fair that I complain. I promptly ran off to a very handy little site out there on the internet that very few people know about, SMSCode, and checked who the owner of the shortcode(s) in question was. I gave them a call and – oh surprise surprise – it was the wrong number; no problem the receptionist was helpful enough to give me their customer service number. After a rather lengthy process of explaining my grievance, the fact that I received an SMS for which I did not opt-in, the C.S. agent took my details and ensured me she would call me back with the details.
That was somewhere near 6 hours ago and no call yet. I’m not holding my breath.
So I got my first glance at the 2010 soccer world cup mascot (“Zakumi”) today…
…
SERIOUSLY?

Apparently: “Zakumi is young, vibrant, energetic, smart, self-confident, sociable and ambitious, but also warm-hearted,”
I don’t know if it’s just me; but I honestly think it’s just embarrassing.
Like on-par with the OGC logo embarrassing.

I made some small updates to Tweetr, mostly aesthetic stuff and a little more user education.
Looks as though the RescueTime widget on the side is broken, will need to investigate that soon.
Update: All fixed. I had to swap the graph from my PC account to laptop account anyway; just copy/pasted the code over the old code and Bob’s your uncle.
